Bonnie and David Pickartz work hard to create an atmosphere that encourages the Goshen Team and clients to work together to create a home that not only will stand as a testament to craftsmanship and hard work, but will carry with it fond memories of designing and building the home. Bonnie helps each client to develop a plan that will be beautiful and functional. She believes that customer service is the ultimate key to a company's success and that each customer is the most important person in the world to Goshen. David keeps the shop running without ever being "bossy". He makes sure it all comes together in the shop and field.

  Our education program of workshops and apprenticeships enables you to learn the craft hands-on. You can participate in cutting your own timber frame or buy plans for our standard timber frames to cut on your own.

We usually have two or three dedicated apprentices at any given time. They come from all over the world to spend an average of three months with us to learn the trade. They are a diverse and interesting group and we enjoy having them here with us.

All of Goshen's Timber Framers are Members of the Timber Framers Guild.

Bonnie Pickartz is a Lifetime Member of the Timber Framers Guild, she also serves on the Executive Commitee / Board of Directors for the Timber Frame Business Council. Locally, Bonnie is a proud member of the Franklin Rotary Club and heavily involved in many community activities including the Franklin Main Street Program.

David Pickartz is a Lifetime Member of the Timber Framers Guild.

Where We Call Home

Goshen Timber Frames is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina in the town of Franklin. Known for its scenic and unspoiled beauty, Franklin has also earned the title "Gem Capital of the World". Incorporated in 1855 the town still holds true to its Appalachian heritage and history.
